Our Approach
While based in Florida, our services extend nationwide. We offer either in-person or virtual community workshops via Zoom. We specialize in hosting regional professional learning community workshops to facilitate unified collaboration among health departments. Much like our ability to tailor our Community Assessments and Strategic Plans, we customize our workshops to fit the needs of our clients and their communities.
Our approach always begins with understanding your Burning Why. This preparatory exercise is designed to help you understand your community’s health priorities and ambitions. It asks questions like:
- What are the community’s current health priorities?
- What are the community’s top three weaknesses or vulnerabilities?
- How would you rate the current state of your community across key pillars?
These questions allow Ascendant Healthcare Partners to gain insights into where you are starting from and where you would like initiatives to take you– the results you want to achieve. We empower you to envision a trajectory for your community’s health.

We walk through the Community Health Needs Assessment Plans and various other implementation plans to ensure every member genuinely understands the plans and reports. If you have the resources, we also address action items. If you don’t have the available resources, we work to assist in acquiring those resources or to become that resource for you.
How to Develop Partnerships & Collaborations
Our workshops often host local, state, and regional health departments and various key stakeholders in community health initiatives. These community development workshops focus on what you want to work on, address how things have changed, and share new techniques. The collaborative nature of these community workshops often intrigues people the most, and with good reason—this group setting provides a series of exercises at each level to examine how you can improve or dive deeper into these initiatives.
